The things we sit and spin over are our idols. You may be spinning over what you think people think of you. Caring about what others think becomes an idol if you care more about their opinions than God's. The truth is, we worry about the things we most love. We worry about what we value. And if you value the admiration and approval of others, their invisible thoughts will control you. Matthew 6 confronts our propensity to "spin" from worry, and helps us get unstuck.
