The second mile on the *three-mile walk* is courage. Like Elijah whose hopelessness made him feel all alone (1 Kings 19:1-10), we need community with others and with God himself to keep us encouraged. God is inviting you to stand up, dust yourself off from discouragement, and move forward with courage. You can take courage because God is with you in Spirit, in Word, and within the community of one another.
