How does God move in our lives today? The Scripture teaches us that the Holy Spirit is God with us leading and guiding us through life as followers of Jesus Christ. What is the Good News after Jesus Christ died? That Jesus Christ resurrected to life and is able to meet us wherever we are in life!
Pastor Alvin Love is the pastor of the Lilydale First Baptist Church, with campuses in both Chicago, IL and Park Forest, IL. During his more that 47 years in ministry, Pastor Love has had many opportunities for leadership, serving as Moderator of the 85-church local association to President of the 400 church Baptist General State Convention of Illinois. In the community, Pastor Love worked with a young community organizer and eventually served as a Faith Based Advisor to President Barack Obama. Pastor Love currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc and as Chair of the Technology Department. HE continues to work with the Biden administration around Faith Based and Community engagement. He is married to Carolyn, and they have one son and five grandchildren.
